500 Birds Name In English And Marathi
महाराष्ट्रातील पक्ष्यांच्या एवढ्यात झालेल्या नोंदी यादीत समाविष्ट केल्यानंतर आता एकूण
पक्ष्यांची यादी ५७७ प्रजातींची झाली आहे. जागतिक स्तरावर पक्ष्यांचे नामकरण बरेच बदलत असून
अद्यावत नावांसाठी पामेला रास्मुसेन व जे.सी. अँडरटन ह्यांच्या “बईस ऑफ साउथ एशीया” ह्या
पुस्तकातील सामान्य तसेच शास्त्रीय नावे आपण ग्राह्य धरली आहेत. ह्या पुस्तकात अनेक उपप्रजातींना
प्रजातीचा दर्जा देण्यात आला आहे तसेच अनेक पक्ष्यांची नावे बदलण्यात आली आहेत. आपला
गोंधळ होऊ नये म्हणून जुनी नावे कंसात दिलेली आहेत. महाराष्ट्रात नव्यानेच नोंदविल्या गेलेल्या
प्रजातींच्या मराठी नावांना तारांकित (%) करण्यात आले आहे.
ही यादी जानेवारी २०१६ मध्ये महाराष्ट्र पक्षीमित्र संघटनेच्या कार्यकारी सदस्यांना पाठविण्यात
आली होती. आता ही यादी अंतिम मानून (म्हणजेच सुचविलेले बदल ग्राह्य आहेत असे समजून) २९
व्या महाराष्ट्र पक्षीमित्र संमेलनात दि. २३ व २४ जानेवारी २०१६ सावंतवाडी येथे प्रकाशित करण्यात
यावी असे कार्यकारी सदस्यांनी सुचविले. तसेच ही नावे पुस्तिकेच्या स्वरुपात प्रकाशित व्हावीत असे
सुद्धा सुचविले.
